I really and truly love getting to document the growth of families. I first met Brandy & Byron last fall for some Christmas/anniversary pictures, and now they are expecting a little one! I will be photographing their co-ed baby shower next weekend, and there will be a slide show playing of their entire maternity shoot. :) (I feel like a proud Mama)
We met at Bear Creek Park and tried to avoid the sun for heat's sake- well- for Brandy's sake, really. :) These two came prepared with baby blocks and baby books, and we were able to incorporate both into some lovely photos. *Props are good things*
As we walked around the park a bit, Brandy smiled at the peacocks and Byron finally got to see a Buffalo in person! (An exciting day all around)

Andre Johnson's Bday: Event Photography
Just recently, I was asked to photograph Andre Johnson's 30th birthday party at the Derek hotel. (Wide receiver for the Houston Texans)
Prop Rock made an appearance and provided the amazing and extravagant furniture set up. (They never disappoint)
The night was full of famous players and tons of girls in short dresses... I'm convinced there was a dress-code I was unaware of. :)

TeKay Designs
This past weekend was my second shoot with Kimma- the designer and brains behind TeKay Designs. Vargo's restaurant was brimming with models, make up artists, fashion coordinators, and more dresses than you could imagine!
We were all sweating it out in the familiar Houston humidity, but the overcast skies were a blessing. The gardens were green, and the peacocks were screaming- it was truly an experience. I always love the beautiful possibilities that those gorgeous gardens provide!

Danielle, Matt and the kiddos: Family Photographer
I know Danielle and Matt from John Wesley United Methodist Church, and I was honored that they asked me to take their family photos.
Danielle is throwing a Cars themed birthday bash for her two boys at the end of the summer and wanted images of each boy on the invitations... what a spectacular reason to arrange some family photos! As with most families of younger children, we took a few family-posed-images and then let the kids run free. (There's really no use arguing when a park is in view... everyone's happier this way- trust me!)
Looks like trouble! |
Oh how I wish he was making the "uh-oh" face instead of sampling the "bark ice cream" brother was making- |
Cutie-patootie on the left and muscle-man on the right! |
