Amy+Josh+Noah+Lylah
This is the second time I have been honored to photograph this beautiful, young family, and I absolutely love getting to see how they've grown over the past year! The twins are turning two, so Mom and Dad decided to have a shoot to honor the special occasion.
We headed to Oyster Creek Park and (even though our favorite sculptures had moved on) we had a lovely time playing near the water! We may have all been a little tuckered out by the end of the shoot, but I really love how the images capture their personal family dynamic. :)

Kurush+Khyati+Jia: Houston Family Photographer
This family was an absolute pleasure to photograph. (They generally are, aren't they?) Either I'm a super-lucky human and the universe is placing nothing but lovely people in my path, or my humanness just meshes well with other humans.... heh- umm...okay, back to the shoot. ;)
It was extremely important that we plan this particular photo session quickly, as Kurush was leaving for Afghanistan- in fact, he left the very day of our shoot! Khyati warned me they had been super-busy with packing and such, but you wouldn't have been able to tell there was an ounce of stress by the way they played and smiled and cooed over gorgeous little Jia.
PS- Props to Khyati for the simple and bright color-scheme!

Shea+Elizabeth+Brooks: Family Photographer
When Elizabeth asked me to photograph her family's Christmas photo this year, I was more than pleased. I was honored to take little Brooks' newborn pictures back in August, and couldn't wait to see this sweet family again!
We met at Shea's workplace and took photos both inside and outside. I loved the antique-chic style of their home for the newborn shoot, and Shea's office boasted the same, sophisticated style. Great architecture, furniture pieces and open spaces made shooting a breeze. (I love options) :)

Brad+Michelle+Kyle+Kim: Family Photorapher
Michelle is a co-worker of Elizabeth's (you may remember her precious little babe from August) and contacted me to get some updated family photos of her own bunch.
I must say, I don't often get the opportunity to photograph families with children above the age of 8, and I was stunned at how still everyone was! They all just stood there... and smiled... beautifully. :)
Needless to say, it was a piece of cake to get some gorgeous shots of this pretty family.

Barbara+Rick+grandkids: Family Photographer
I had such a great time with Amanda and her family a few weeks ago, that she convinced her mother-in-law to set up another photo session with me while they were visiting Houston.
Although fairly brief, It was wonderful meeting Barbara & Rick and I really enjoyed seeing the family again. (I love getting to see my clients throughout the year; I feel so privileged to document how they grow and mature!)

Eric+Amanda+Haydon+Emma: Family Photographer
Amanda fell in love with the Tomball Museum, and I definitely can't blame her. It's no secret I love shooting at this quaint little location, and Amanda ensured her family was dressed to suit!
Sundresses and boots perfectly complimented the atmosphere, and Haydon's blue tractor fit like a charm. :)
The kids enjoyed huge lollipops after a few (clean) family photos -Haydon had been eyeing them for a week- and then we headed over to Spring Creek Park to let the kids play a bit for some action shots.
