Doug: Portrait Photographer

Doug is a super-easy-going guy that needed some casual and professional pictures taken.

We headed out to Bear Creek Park (unfortunately, the same morning of the epic traffic congestion), and wound ourselves down in the peaceful green surroundings.  We chatted.  We laughed.  It turned out to be a pretty awesome morning.  :)

I swear I have one of the best jobs around- I'm constantly meeting amazing new people!

See- Doug thinks I'm funny!

Barbara+Patrick+Mackenzie: Family Photographer

Barbara contacted me a few weeks ago with the idea to get some photos taken in honor of Mackenzie's 5th birthday.   Mackenzie is the new sister of two cute kittens named Batman and Robin, and both of these little balls of fur made an appearance in our shoot.

In fact, quite a few animals were present!  We met at Bear Creek Park and watched ducks, geese, owls and bison throughout the morning.  We played in flowers, we swung on swings and we read about dinosaurs- quite the eventful photo shoot.  :)

Mom & Dad Photos!

Notice the geese just beyond her...

Mackenzie settled for a feather when we explained petting the birds probably wasn't a good idea...

I love that her arms are spilling with kittens!

Look at that adoration- too sweet!

Brandy & Byron: Maternity Photographer

I really and truly love getting to document the growth of families.  I first met Brandy & Byron last fall for some Christmas/anniversary pictures, and now they are expecting a little one!  I will be photographing their co-ed baby shower next weekend, and there will be a slide show playing of their entire maternity shoot.  :)  (I feel like a proud Mama)

We met at Bear Creek Park and tried to avoid the sun for heat's sake- well- for Brandy's sake, really.  :)  These two came prepared with baby blocks and baby books, and we were able to incorporate both into some lovely photos.  *Props are good things*

As we walked around the park a bit, Brandy smiled at the peacocks and Byron finally got to see a Buffalo in person!  (An exciting day all around)

Baseball Pics: NW Houston family photographer

Last week I got to take pictures of the most adorable little T-Ball player!  Austin is four years old and just started T-Ball this season.  His mom wasn't too keen on the "normal" pictures provided by the team, so she asked me to take some of him "just being a kid."

We met at Bear Creek Park and ran around their baseball fields all morning.  We climbed stairs and trees, got into the dirt, and played on bleachers.  It was great!

I had a really difficult time deciding which photos I liked the best (a common problem with adorable children), but here are a handful of my favorites:
