Baby Shower

This may have been the most extravagant baby shower I have ever attended.  The theme was "safari," but that doesn't begin to describe how couture everything was.

An elephant made of ice gracefully melted into the punch bowl (also made of ice) containing the dangerously blue safari cocktail.  Exotic foods like plantain chips and "Green Goddess dip" enticed everyone's appetites, and blue and brown candies were shipped in from all over the world to supply the goods for the sweet buffet- what a display Prop Rock was able to conjure up!

These ladies were the definition of sophistication, but throw in a party game or two and they became quite rowdy and competitive!  (I love how games can do that to people!)

Brandy & Byron: Baby Shower

I loved that Brandy and Byron decided to have a co-ed baby shower.  I've always thought that maternity was about a growing family, not about a woman having a baby, so it was nice to have everyone there to celebrate.  :)

When I walked into the hotel meeting room, I was pleasantly surprised to see it had been converted in a Parisian circus!  Brandy did all the designing, and she did a fabulous job of it!  Cotton candy, animal crackers, candy apples and all the appropriate decor!

Brandy's honorary sisters were donned with "Aunt" shirts and ran the party with fun games about the expecting couple.  Winners were awarded some pretty nifty gifts- including a festive margarita set- now that's fun!

Andre Johnson's Bday: Event Photography

Just recently, I was asked to photograph Andre Johnson's 30th birthday party at the Derek hotel.  (Wide receiver for the Houston Texans)

Prop Rock made an appearance and provided the amazing and extravagant furniture set up.  (They never disappoint) 

The night was full of famous players and tons of girls in short dresses... I'm convinced there was a dress-code I was unaware of.  :)

Prop Rock: Event Photography

 This past week I was asked to photograph an open-house event for a company called "Prop Rock."  They are a company that rents all sorts of wonderful furniture and accessories for event use and specializes in "customized event lounge furniture."  (Definitely worth checking out for weddings, sweet 16's, graduation parties etc...)

I was so pleased at the number of vendors that showed up and had a grand old time mingling and talking with everyone in attendance.

They have a warehouse of anything you could imagine!
