Thalia: Model Photographer

Thalia (Yammy to some) is a bit of a shy girl, but what a natural beauty!  She has some of the longest eyelashes I've ever seen, and it only helps to accentuate those big eyes of hers.

I helped with makeup and some wardrobe, and we were able to put together quite the portfolio for this young lady.

Thalia is interested in doing some promotional work and has just begun jazz dancing, so we made sure to include headshots and a dance-themed portion of the shoot.

What a gorgeous smile!

Completely fierce!

Forgive me for the repetition, but I just loved BOTH these photos!

Yazmin and Ingrid: Model Photographer

These two Mexican beauties were the first of several lovely ladies to be photographed by Gilded Sun while in Mexico City.  Yazmin and Ingrid (cousins) stopped by the apartment last Sunday morning and helped each other get beautified before the shoot.  (always nice to have a helping hand)

These two decided to split their shoot into two days, one inside- more studio style- and one outside... amongst the elements!  This means there is a "part II", so be on the lookout for more shots of Yazmin and Ingrid.

Julia: Senior Pictures

Julia (a friend of Shannon's) was another senior that arrived with a team to help with the big picture day.  Not only was mom prepared with a van -which doubled as a dressing room thanks to ingenious and creative sheet placement around the hatchback door- but two older sisters helped with costume changes, scouted out locations, and tried their very best to get the most genuine smile from their youngest sis.  There was definitely a nice chemistry between these four ladies, and I loved witnessing their family dynamic.

Our backdrop was Old Town Spring, and it offered endless possibilities of antiqued benches, gazebos and colored buildings.  I even found myself saying, "All the colored buildings remind me of Mexico... except... in a much more American way.."  Wow- totally have Mexico on the brain!

Those eyes!

...I loved this old post office

What a contagious smile!

Looks like Julia found her a cowboy!

Umm.. stunning, right?

So classic.

Brooklyn: Senior Pictures

Brooklyn is another gorgeous senior; she is a friend of Alyssa -a neighbor and fellow ROTC-er.  Actually, Brooklyn was involved in a LOT in high school (reference her letter jacket to see her extensive collection of patches!)

Mom escorted her and offered helpful advice about real smiles, which side her hair should fall on and other general things that it seems a mother's eye catches best.

We started off at Telge park and headed to the same railroad tracks that Alyssa stopped at just two weeks prior.

Dresses can be a lot of fun-

Here is Brooklyn's ad for pinecone shaped -and scented- air fresheners!

Brooklyn really mastered this old pin-up style

...another daredevil

It's crazy how much she looks like her mom- so lovely!
